Warnings: Crack, Rowen-cooking, Sage-betrayal, too much sugar not enough time, inspired by real life, I hope you're not taking me seriously, seriously though, true story
Summary: One afternoon Sage and Rowen are left home alone. When Sage gets a little cranky from not being able to eat at a particular time, Rowen picks up the slack. What concoction is this and why does Sage love it? His new found love leads to betrayal of the worst kind!
Author's Note: This story is a recreation of incidents with my little sister, Cherri, while we were on vacation. I made the point that I thought Sage and Rowen had a relationship like ours and how I felt badly if that were the case (I don't really feel badly, we're awesome). In this story, Sage takes her role, Rowen takes mine. Some minor details have been changed because when I made these, Cherri wanted them. As a doting sister, I complied. The dialogue is pretty much verbatim. Gender specific nouns were switched to make more sense.

Little Cup, Big Cip

Sage roamed around the kitchen. Calm hands opened the refrigerator, pale eyes caught milk, water, iced tea, yogurt, salad, a pink bowl with foil on top of it, and space that needed filled. He pushed the refrigerator shut as the sigh tripped out of his lungs. He pulled the sleeves of his ice blue button down shirt over his wrists. He pushed the panic into his socks and turned to look at Rowen as the steady whirring of something foreign grated his hearing and nerves.

The blender crashed and slammed against the contents until they were a nice medium of liquid and substance. Rowen pushed the trash into the waste bin and poured the cappuccino ice cream smoothie concoction into two tall cups. He pushed the rest into two smaller cups and set all four onto the table before him and his roommate, Sage. He put one dark blue straw in his tall glass and one green one into Sage's. He set a spoon down for each small glass.

"That's a lot of something," Sage said.

"Caramel cappuccino smoothie," Rowen said as he picked up the small glass and drank it. "It's a pick me up! I made you some too."

"Thank you," he said as he pushed air into his lungs. "You didn't have too."

"Of course I did, you'd kill me otherwise," Rowen said as laughter danced passed his teeth.

"I wouldn't really kill you," Sage gave a small smile and wrapped his fingers around the small glass and picked up the spoon.

Rowen finished half of his small glass. Sage put the littlest bit of the smoothie onto his tongue. Caramel raced across his tongue against a tiny bitter partner. The smoothness of the ice cream and milk made it easy to swallow. His eyes focused on the cream colored drink as a smile tugged at his lips.

"Maybe not in the traditional sense," the blue haired man said. He smiled and stirred the large glass with his straw, "but it's good, right?"

"Very good, I really like it," Sage said with a swift nod. While Rowen had finished his small glass and started on the large, Sage finished half of his small glass. "It's too full to mix," he said.

"Then take a drink out of it and then mix it," Strata said.

"That's a good idea," Sage put his spoon into the small cup and took a drink from the large cup. He stirred the contents with his straw. He gave a light chuckle at how much sugar there really had to be in such a thing. He laughed inside about how much he enjoyed it.

Rowen's mouth hung opened, words trapped by his teeth. He shook his head as he tried to force air back into his lungs.

Sage's mouth closed as his lips pressed together.

"You betrayed little cup," Rowen said with a sharp tone. "It's like I don't even know you anymore!" Before Sage could respond, he continued, "We are brothers no longer!"

Sage inhaled a short breath, picked up his spoon, and took the small cup into his hands.

"I'm sorry little cup," he said in a soft tone.

"It's too late," Rowen said as his hands flashed across the air. "The damage is done!"

Sage finished the small cup's contents and moved to the large cup. He set the spoon aside unable to find words to counter his friend.

"And now you're taking big cup's soul," Rowen said. "You're the worst kind of monster."

"You know me," Sage said. "Betraying little cups and stealing souls, it's the only way to get through the day."

"You're the worst type of person," Strata nodded.

"Yes," Halo said with a nod of his own. "Can we have this again tomorrow?"

"No, we're out of the ingredients," Rowen said as a shrug slid off of his shoulders.

"What kind of person does that to another human being," Sage said after a deep sigh.

Rowen took the last drink of his smoothie and smiled.
