Welcome to the many faces of the Man with the Golden Bow! Almost better than his facial expressions are my reactions to them? Maybe? That might be a stretch. But seriously, he has an emotive face for someone that's supposed to be calm and composed all the time.
Right out of the opening, this image always makes me laugh. Rowen seems extremely happy. I always imagine this is what everyone's faces look like while we're working on the #GenkiJusticeParty. I just feel really good about the doofy smile and the amount of joy that's there. I can't help but think maybe that's the way life is supposed to be! Pretty much, I think this is probably the happiest I've ever seen Rowen and I just love that this is in the opening. It makes me think that maybe everything will really be okay. And Ryo must feel the same way since he stops brooding and smiles too. I like to think of this as the "smiles are contagious" picture. And this is one of the images that I feel solidifies our emotions for our work.
You know, I've got a million dollar idea. If we could make this work, we'd be rich. That or he's got some bad pickup line storming in that brain. Considering that I think Rowen would be absolutely clueless about pick up lines, this more likely has to deal with the idea that he's thinking something. I get the idea he's being smug about something like, "I know something you don't know." And with his IQ and love of studying, for most, that might be an easy thing. BUT NOT SO FOR ME, SIR. I accept your challenge. And actually, this makes me think he might be in his natural element for once.
Are you serious? That's what this face says to me. And I swear on White Blaze's beautiful stripes, I'm not kitten you right meow. You cat be serious! That's not a typo, lovelies, I promise you that. I'm not lion! You might think I'm bein' a cheetah with some of these lines and you're right. I am, because it's not as easy as one would think to come up with a million cat puns to fill in a paragraph. I just get the feeling that this is the face Rowen makes when he's about to ask someone if they're serious. And I'm not kitten, it's just about purrfect. One might think these are better suited to Ryo, but COME ON, White Blaze is Rowen's friend too.
Talpa, knock it off. Just as you would like to have this awesome realm and ice cream, so do we. Please leave and take your warlords with you. I don't care that you think human negativity is like rock candy. Trust me, it's not. You're being a spoiled brat. Go home. Sekhmet stop wearing so much eye liner, it's creepy. Paint on some eyebrows or something, maybe that will help. Dais, stop messing with Kento. He's having bad dreams. This is exactly why you have no friends. Cale, just stop. You could be great if you weren't enabling Talpa by being a good little puppy. He doesn't love you, he never will, he's using you. Gettin' real tired of your $#!7, dynasty. I swear if I have to come over there one more time, there will be blood. Ask your buddy Anubis. He knows what's up. While I'm thinking about it, Kayura, stop the laugh. You're taking Sekhmet's job. He can't cope with stuff like that. Just, dynsaty, stop. We have things to do. You've put everyone's lives on hold. Chill, Talpa, get a smoothie or something.

So back story, when Saranbo tries to forcibly extract the Armors of Wildfire and Inferno he injures each of the ronin. Each part of the body correlates from the ronin to a specific piece on the white armor. For Rowen, it is the right knee. So, when the beam of flesh searing light rips through Ryo's right knee Rowen feels it too. This causes him to drop to it. The angle of animation actually is supposed to show him taking a knee. The angle is a little messed up so his face and helmet are covered in a weird way. In fact the very next shot of Rowen is a proper one in which he's clutching his knee, but I didn't include it. This is actually a very serious scene and moment for the ronin because they can feel Ryo's physical pain. On the other hand, I cannot take it seriously and laugh like an idiot every time I see this picture. Closing thoughts: gjdkajfkdajfdskghjsghf!
Let me tell you why that's impossible. You know, because I know everything. Seriously though, let me just give a quick explanation on how and why this works and how we can use it to our advantage. Basically what we're going to do is summon our armor, use our best attacks, and punch Talpa in the face. He'll never see it coming. Especially since he'll be too busy trying to get our armor. So, I've devised a sure fire plan to defeat him. It'll be simple, all we have to do is flank him. With five of us, it should be quite simple. Doesn't matter if he's a giant man! I've got it! We'll get slingshots, that's got to work. Let me tell you why.
WHAT IS THAT? Are you serious? How did we end up in this mess? Ryo, we have to do something! This can't be happening. It's coming right for us! I need a minute to process! WHAT IS THAT? Seriously, I have no plans of dying here. It can't be that - SERIOUSLY HOW DOES THE DYNASTY DO THIS STUFF? Move, Ryo we need to move. We need to move far, we need to move fast. Actually, to be honest, other than them being in the dynasty I have no idea what is happening in this picture. I FORGOT (it happens sometimes). There was so much going on in the dynasty I'm surprised the guys managed to get out of there okay. I mean, I'm sure it had some serious emotional and mental scars, it has to! (Especially for Sage, Kento, and Cye.) But I just kind of think that Rowen's face here is the perfect example of the response to the dynasty. HOW DO I EVEN? WHAT IS? ARE YOU? I CAN'T.
