Why do I love Rowen so much? One, he's awesome. Two, see
reason one! In all seriousness though, Rowen is calm, cool, and
composed. He enjoys studying and values knowledge. He tries
his best for his friends. Despite not knowing how to approach them or
converse with them, they are his reason for fighting, living, and being
a better person. That's what I wanted as a kid, so it was easy
to look up to and idolize Rowen. It's what I have now and I think
that's because I made it my mission as a child. Back then, I was lonely
because I liked to study so much a lot of kids my age just didn't
understand me. I love to study still, and while people still may not
understand me, it doesn't mean I can't or don't have valuable
friendships. I love Rowen, because he's always made me feel that it was
okay to be smart and inarticulate because as long as we keep trying,
our friends will understand and love us. I also really like his
confidence because he's not always quiet, he doesn't let people trample
him. He expresses himself and people listen.
Rowen's golden bow also appealed
the young mythology buff in me. As around the time that I watched Ronin
Warriors, I also started getting into studying mythology. One of my
favorite subjects was Greek Mythology and Apollo specifically. Being as
that he was an archer, I feel that this probably helped draw me to
Rowen too. As I'm older now, I found that I had a lot to study and read
up on. That's in part what made it so much fun for me; at the same time
I got to apply a variety of skills that I've obtained through studying.
I get to put it into a format with friends and people listen!
In addition, look how cute he is! I don't actually hate the
popped collar, I never have. Although I do think that it looks silly.
But that laughter, that silliness, is part of what I love about Rowen
and Ronin Warriors. It's something that I did with my sister and later
something that I had friends to geek out and laugh with. It's precious
to my heart because we were all able to create something from our
childhood (except Mikari who happens to be a rebel). My love of Rowen
is a love of studying, wanting friends, and fist bumps. It's just about
the idea that I get to do what I love with people I love.
