Tenku is considered to be the armor of the heavens, this could associate to life or wind. In particular, Rowen's defining element is air and his virtue is knowledge. His virtue was changed to life in the English version and later revised back to its original self. However, I feel that both knowledge and life suit him as virtues. In particular, I feel it is particularly important to point out common traits among cultures of wind being an unseen yet unifying and life giving force. Some cultures believe that the wind is a living force in and of itself. To some, it is even the symbol of life and represents unity, freedom, eternity, and balance. Considering that Rowen is the last warrior to join the group, his presence represents finally uniting the power needed to defeat Talpa. He floated freely in space until Ryo came to get him, and he represents a balance to the group that utilizes the power of the armors of both the Ronin and the Dark Warlords.

Wind can also be considered playful yet destructive. Rowen teases his friends yet treats his enemies with nothing but ruthlessness. Point in case, he shot Anubis at point blank range to save Ryo. When the other ronin figure out the Anubis is a human working for the dynasty, Rowen reminds them that human or not, as long as he stands with the dynasty he needs to be defeated. This also plays into necessity for me because without Rowen's cautions and without his insistence the others may have struggled. He breaths the battle back into his friends and they continue to fight. I think it's important in way of words having power (unseen power) similar to the wind.

In addition, because air cannot be seen but is necessary to life it is considered a vital component to all life. This is an interesting thing for me in which air basically becomes life (and perhaps that was what prompted the virtue change). Its strength and ability to be seen are seen through other elements. I think this is particular fitting for Rowen who acts as a support pillar for the other ronin and as battle support because he is an archer. In addition we first see his special attack, arrow shockwave, as a direct result of his trying to support and save Ryo. Rowen specifically drew strength from Ryo's situation and almost delivered a killing blow to Anubis.

In Japanese Philosophy wind also represents breath and knowledge. It is represented within the human mind and represents growth. This is great for Rowen as his attribute is knowledge, something he values. I am particularly interested in the idea that is also represents a certain amount of open-mindedness. I also feel that his knowledge also lends to a certain amount of trust. Especially when he leaves Ryo to battle alone so that he can get to a halfway point so that he can fire arrows at the guys to let them know that Ryo needs help. He believes in all four, he believes that they will understand exactly what he needs. On the other hand, he is also the one that harbors the idea that the warlords could be good. He explains to Ryo that through the use of the white armor, he almost felt them turning good. So, he thinks that there is a chance for them. Ryo is in shock, but Rowen seems to understand that the warlords armors are cut from the same cloth as his armor. In that idea, they can serve many of the same purposes.

I feel that Rowen is a unifying and balanced force. He brings balance to the team and recognizes when to use other options available. He supports with the gentlest of pushes and fights back with the fiercest of forces. Like the wind he is free and gentle. Like the wind he is forceful and destructive. He supports his friends, punishes his enemies, and without him I feel like the others would be lost (something I feel is true if any one of the warriors was gone).
