Ludger's friends rely on him a great deal. Although they present him with options to make choices, he finds a great deal in their companionship and their advice. Ludger helps each party member overcome their own dilemmas. With his support, they are able to come to terms with their lives and the choices that they have made. Ludger's support earns him the title of "do-gooder", but he supports them with every fiber of his being. In general, his friends tease him about helping everyone out. At the same time, they realize that they rely a great deal on him. Ludger not only supports his friends, he relies on them a great deal - even if he doesn't say so specifically. The relationships he forges with others are an important facet of his character because they become his driving force for making decisions.

His connection with his friends is important to me, because he understands that their happiness is linked to his happiness. Their struggles are his struggles. He loves whole heartedly, something I find endearing because he doesn't try to play it cool. I honestly do not believe he'd know how, he just acts with the happiness of others in his mind. His ultimate choices sadden his friends but they respect him more and more with every decision that he makes. They understand that if Ludger puts his mind to something that it cannot be easily changed. I feel that this is a true sign of friendship because the understanding runs so deep that it touches their hearts, leaves their cheeks tear stained, and at the same time leaves gentle footprints on their souls that make them better people. I would say that Ludger is the type of person that lives for others and it is apparent in the choices he makes to support his friends.
