Ludger is a fairly silent young man. He strives to do his best for everyone around him, and he dreams of being just like his older brother. He is very self-assured, and tends to be easy to tease. He gets along very well with the majority of people. He is thrown into a debt that he cannot reasonably get out of. He holds the mysterious power of Kresnik, and does not always know how to specifically use it. On his first day at his brand new job, Elle Mel Marta gets him arrested. He becomes very close with the little girl.

Ludger is thrown headfirst into figuring out the power of Kresnik, a power that runs through his family's blood. Although he doesn't understand the power completely, he is forced to make decisions that affect other worlds and people. He is often faced with choices that hurt him deeply, but his desire to save his world and friends act as a grounding force for his heart.

I find it interesting that the game is played through a mostly silent protagonist, as though Ludger only speaks to make extremely important decisions. His silence is what allows his closest friends to tease him with great ease. You can unlock the option to make all of Ludger's choices voiced, but I have yet to do that. I think his being a silent protagonist as him being more introspective as he weighs the pros and cons of everything.
