Xanxus bears a striking resemblance to Ricardo, the Second Vongola Boss, and shares his Flames of Wrath. As the son of the most powerful mafia boss (currently, the Ninth Boss of the Vongola) he is extremely spoiled. So spoiled, in fact, Xanxus throws temper tantrums and abuses his subordinates, justified in his own superiority. He is downright wasteful with food and people and tends to believe that might makes right. He is known to throw food on the floor, throw items at subordinates, and blast holes into walls when his will is not met (or when he needs amusement). Among his favorite hobbies are creating unique fire arms and torturing Squalo. He is extremely picky about his food and about people talking to him. He will only tolerate so much before exploding. Xanxus' most defining traits are his bestial red eyes, his scars, and his unbridled temper.
Possessing the sky flame of wrath, Xanxus is every bit as cruel and strong as he looks. He believes that what he is doing is right and will fight to prove his superiority. He believes that everyone is below him and that trash should be eradicated. He was raised under the assumption that he would take over the Vongola Family as its Tenth boss. He leads the Varia in the ring battle to overthrow another successor, Sawada Tsunayoshi. Ruthless and cruel, Xanxus will not stop until he has what he wants or the world burns down around him. He can be very lazy and often does not take his opponents seriously because he already believes he surpasses them in every way. He values his own strength above all else.
Xanxus as the Ninth boss's son is a candidate for the tenth boss position. He fights with the flame of wrath and two hand guns known as the x-guns. He can channel his unique sky flame into the guns to increase fire power. Often unamused by the world around him, Xanxus does believe in having the Vongola family at its strongest. Before the series start, he and his men have killed three of the four candidates that stand in his way of achieving the status of tenth boss. His goal of becoming boss takes him to Japan where he fights the last candidate for the title. He is known for being a very capable and ruthless fighter. He and his men in the Varia are among the top assassins within the Vongola Family.
