Heroic Traits

Magical/Mysterious Birth
We do not hear of Kazuma's birth. We assume, though, that it is perfectly normal.
Missing/Questionable Childhood
Most of Kazuma's childhood is missing from the games. There is one flashback in Yakuza 2, in which Kazuma was around 18. Otherwise all we know is that Kazuma grew up in an Orphanage sponsored by Fuma.
Identity in Question
Kazuma rarely doubts himself. In fact, by the time we meet him he's well into his adult life so he has less reason to really be fickle about who he is. He doesn't seem to enjoy all the fighting he does, but he does it out of necessity. Perhaps the only time we can question his idenity is when he takes the fall for Nishiki. Most of the Yakuza world is shattered by his "betrayal".
Betrayal
Nishiki betrays Kazuma. Kazuma agrees to take the blame for killing the head of the Dojima family so that Nishiki can take care of his sister. However, after Nishiki's sister dies, he changes and begins to try and slowly kill off the Tojo Clan. When Kazuma is released from prison he has to deal with his best friend as an antagonist. The idea that Nishiki is behind the current failing of the Tojo clan hurts him deeply.
Tragic Flaw
Kazuma is way too trusting. He believes that people can change if given the chance. It gets him stabbed on more than one occassion, once in Yakuza 2 and once in Yakuza 3. I would argue, even more than that though we don't see it.
Death at the Hands of Evil
Technically Kazuma never dies physically, although we are left hanging for a few moments in Yakuza 3 after Hamazaki stabs him. Perhaps his death is more symbolic being that he went from the Dragon of Dojima to the "traitor." He starts living a new life and is repeatedly dragged back into the old ways. I would even consider that when Yumi dies protecting him that he "dies." After Date tells him that he has more to live for, he raises Haruka.
Resurrection Myth
Kazuma doesn't die in the traditional sense. However, he does go to prison for ten years and comes back. This could work as the resurrection part if we stretch it. We know that once he finds Haruka he becomes a sort of father figure to her and fights to protect her with everything he is.
Special Powers
Not necessarily a special power, but Kazuma does have a certain battle prowess that is envied by many. Pretty much every yakuza member can fight, but Kazuma is the strongest, considered legendary by most. This is repeated in every game, including Yakuza: Dead Souls the zombie apocalypse spin-off.
